Allison M. 🌱’s review published on Letterboxd:
The movie took me three tries to get through. Despite Zack Snyder being a great director, this is unnecessarily long. Some things were cool like the zombie bride, but (especially at first) the zombies were slow and not fun. The main reason to see this for me was Tig Notaro, despite knowing all of her scenes were green-screened (because she replaced someone who shall not be named and because of the pandemic). I also don't like her character arc. I also hate the ending in general. It's like Zack Snyder created the world only to piss it all away.
But try to have fun watching it anyway.
-Reference to artisanal grilled cheese sandwiches
-Lobster is served
-Scott (Dave Bautista) talks disparagingly about flipping burgers
-It felt forced, but there was a conversation about how tofu is more sustainable.
