"The truth of the universe"
Not bad. Not bad.
I was sold from the moment I saw Emma Thompson and Tessa Thompson in the trailer. Their scenes together are brief, but weighty.
I could imagine that some of the critiques were about all the cutesy looking creatures in what is supposed to be more of a serious universe. I just read a review online that said Pawny (Kumail Nanjiani) was the best
thing about the film. Respectfully, no, although I think I may have laughed at one of his lines. Chris Hemsworth was okay as Agent H: a little too cocky for my taste, but by the end, I warmed up to his character.
There are big weapons, big situations, great locations (Paris, New York, Marrakesh, the desert). I was not exactly expecting a masterpiece; I was going to be quite content with being moderately entertained. I was. No complaints.
-There is some human/alien bestiality.
-A living beard is hit again and again.
