Stylish, atmospheric, and not the movie to see when you're pissed at humanity. I'll have to see it again. Adams, Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, and Aaron Taylor Johnson give great performances—Gyllenhaal especially, in a dual role—but I'm about done with movies where women exist only to be tortured, killed, and a source of guilt for the male lead.
