    100 Movies in 2015: #66

Why: Finally watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2015 #64) and realizing Charlie Kaufman also wrote one of my favorite movies this year Synecdoche, New York, I wanted to see what other greatness he wrote.

Nic Cage starring in a movie playing Charlie Kaufman writing an adaption of a book about an orchid hunter. Very quickly you realize the movie itself becomes the adaptation Charlie has written.

I enjoyed the premise of the movie. Fifteen stories of action between an elite SWAT team and a…

If a David Lynch movie went completely off the rails I think you would end up in Synecdoche, New York. What's really happening here is that Charlie Kaufmann has taken the absurdity of typical Lynch movie, and the sloppiness therein to the limit.

Four stars now, but this is a movie you cannot watch once. I think this will drift to five stars the second time around.
