This feels too much like a b-movie (even if it has some budget) which, for a Evil Dead movie, it's usually the goal so there goes my first compliment.
The "message" aspect is where it lost me a bit. I'm not sure if it's on purpose but I do get the sense it goes a little too conservative narrative-wise. Like, the family going in a downward spiral after being separated from the Father Figure had an interesting start and development…
