Leighton Trent’s review published on Letterboxd:
Screw Godzilla vs Kong, this right here is the movie I needed on the biggest screen possible, the movie that should've been here for us all to save our theatres. Lord and Miller know what the hell they're doing (even if they're just producing the project) and Disney is over there like Joni Mitchell singing about a paved paradise and that they didn't know what they had till they were gone from Solo.
The animation here, the characters, the glorious color, the gags bursting at the edge of the screen, the representation (both LGBTQ and Film Nerd), the slightly self aware Isaac Asimov I, Robot knockoff storyline that somehow works, that dog... that giant ass Furbee... This film has anything and everything I didn't know I needed or wanted and I have to say, as the parent of two small kids who loved it but talked through the entire thing, I CANNOT wait to watch it without them the second time around 😏
