Watching this in such a breezy, open format made me feel a little bit spiritual. The crackles of the print and the academy ratio genuinely bring you closer to the film sets; so, when this lets rip with fights and leaps and dives, you appreciate the craftsmanship even more. It helps that this gets all the beats of Spider-Man mythos, too, and sources a new national grid via the electricity of Willem Dafoe's manic performance.
I loved this so much as a child.
It's aged horribly.
