Supermarket Woman 1996
A great feelgood-comedy by Juzo Itami. You could say the story is a bit simillar to Tampopo but set in a supermarket instead, and while it doesn't quite hold up to the quality of Tampopo, it still was a very fun experience. I'm amazed how they (yet again) put in a car chase for no real reason other than that they could. It felt very cheesy at times but I really think that's the point, in a satirical way. If you think a japanese comedy set in a supermarket sounds good, or like Juzo Itami's other work, I highly recommend it.

A Taxing Woman's Return 1988
A messy but still good sequel to "A Taxing Lady". Even more than the original, this movie kinda forgets about its main character sometimes even though the name would have you think otherwise. The movie felt very long but somehow the ending felt a little sudden. The directing of Juzo Itami is good as usual but the story didn't grab me as much. As weird as it may sound, the tax investigation and tax raids were probably the most satisfying scenes, so I have to praise these movies for taking something so boring and turning it fun.

It clicked for me during the second half for the movie, and suddenly I though it was much better.
The strongest park of the movie was how well made it was. The…

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021
Wow what a great blockbuster! In the other spiderman films I've seen (1, 2, HC, FFH) I really liked the more comedic/goofy side, while being a bit underwhelmed with the more serious parts. I was not able to take them that seriously for some reason. This movie though is very emotional and serious at times, but it really works this time. It really gave me an array of emotions throughout the movie.
I was spoiled of some parts of this…
