Okay, the majority wins -- it's pretty damn great. Jen and I were just talking about how this script doesn't get anywhere near enough credit. To this day, I can only think of a handful of other movies with such unconventional structures. It's a lot more tense than I initially gave it credit for, but even on re-watch, it still feels disjointed in places. Hitchcock always made bold choices, but keeping the same character in a shot and its reverse is just weird blocking.
I thoroughly enjoy Psycho as a whole. I love so much of the second half of this, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel Marion's absense more than I wanted to.
