"He's got shit you've never seen."
I can't see the Marvel Cinematic Universe as anything other than a giant product, this seemingly endless stream of barely distinguishable, 150-minute applications of formulas meant to turn a profit. I don't care for most of them, and a number of them I don't even care enough to see at all. Venom was messy and bizarre, but at least it was different. I laughed a lot, and Tom Hardy's charm really pulled me in. I was dreading this from how it was presented in the marketing, but if anything, the bad trailers just made me appreciate how decently this was put together as a whole. It's a little mind boggling to see people hating this with Deadpool 2 in their favorites for the year.
