NOPE is filled with intriguing concepts & metaphors from the brilliant mind of Jordan Peele, but they don’t come together to create a film as fulfilling as his previous two. Characters needed more development as they’re shortchanged for spectacle. Horrifyingly creative sound work though with a breathtaking score.

    My full review.

The movie equivalent of when everyone procrastinates on the group project up until the hour before it's due.

It's incredibly important for media like this to exist for young people that are new to love's pain. We need more movies that portray love in a realistic sense. Good movie.

Desperately needed Dominion out of my head, and like, dude... the reason this will own for all eternity is simply because it had a few clear, clever, fun ideas and gave each one of them everything they needed, and spaced it all out in solid five-minute sequences back to back.

A film more concerned with posing interesting questions than answering them (or even having much of a plot). Crimes of the Future skillfully showcases Cronenberg’s unique intersection of philosophy, disturbing imagery, and eroticism, but offers little for people who are not already converts.

This is a film that helps to build an oeuvre, but is merely ”acceptable” as a centerpiece.

Sometimes, I have a hard time really enjoying things that everyone else loves. Sometimes it’s just a matter of different taste (Uncut Gems), sometimes I think it’s because people are easily manipulated and don’t actually think about what they’re enjoying (Infinity War), and sometimes I just think something is “pretty good” while everyone else dick-rides it so hard that I feel kind of crazy (Parasite). Sometimes, though, a bunch of people fucking love a movie on a level that I…

AM I OK? Is not realistic bc first of all NOBODY is turning down a woman that looks like Dakota Johnson for anything lol

Second, Dakota Johnson at a lesbian party would absolutely clean house.

Ugh Lucy is so smooth how does anyone say no.
