Trading Places 1983
whoo boy. "dated" does not begin to describe some of the problematic aspects of this film, including a scene of Dan Akroyd in fucking BLACKFACE which i did not know existed until it happened. that being said, i know this film jumpstarted both Eddie Murphy & Jamie Lee Curtis's careers, and there are some genuinely funny moments. whole premise is pretty fucked tho & casual dropping of n word from old white dudes to show they are racist is like... almost intolerable to watch. glad i watched will never watch again

The Matrix Reloaded 2003
it's like...bad. i rewatched the whole trilogy after matrix 4 & it's almost completely garbage. some thoughts:
* neo fighting hundreds of agent smiths...it cuts back & forth from live action to CGI & the CGI looks REALLY BAD. n64 fight scene
* the uh...weird af matrix code vagina scene. wtf??? why. just why. such poor taste
* if neo can do literally anything why are there fights?
* causing someone's heart to beat from within would not negate the effects of a gunshot wound
