Faye Dunaway playing Charlize Theron's mother? Iconic.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. And by ‘this’ I mean Charlize Theron driving cars at top speeds. Sad to see my girl once again sell herself short for a shitty ending as a trophy wife for wahlberg, but am I really that surprised at an early 2000’s film for having a female character arc such as this? “A few more months and the world will have seen Monster”, I repeat to myself as the credits roll, “a few more months”.
THIS FILM MADE ME FEEL SO WARM.
As a woman, as a gay woman, as a musician, as a HUMAN BEING.
Watched this at Sydney Film Fest and the entire crowd cheered when Toni Collette first appeared on screen cause she’s a damn national treasure. One of the best cinema-going experiences i’ve ever had! GO SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL MOVIE!!!
Okay I just saw this and I have a lot of feelings so be prepared (some spoilers ahead so watch urselves!)
1. let me start by saying, this cast is PHENOM. you don't have to see it to know that but wow it was wild to actually see all these women acting together!
2. [spoiler-ish] there was a shot of sarah paulson and anne hathaway sitting on a couch together that just hit me in the face like WOW look…
