Leo Brady’s review published on Letterboxd :
The more I think and talk about Frances Ha, the more I enjoyed it! The black and white is so poignant for this film, which also has excellent Woody Allen-esque dialogue. Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote the film, is Frances, a late 20's woman living in New York. She has her friend Sophie, but besides that she is a bit of a loner, someone who goes with the flow of life but also does not really know or have any direction. She goes from apartment to apartment and does the best she can making a living teaching dance. The Character of Frances/Gerwig is adorably frustrating. You want this character to succeed and get out of her funk but you also love her for her individual joy. Frances is a movie character that I will remember for a long time!
