    The bare bones is not that different from the first one in the long run...but DA FUCK. HOLY FUCK. THE FINAL DOGFIGHT HOLY SHIT.

    Not sure how much I liked this one but i really really liked it. Val Kilmer's scene brought me to tears. Fantastic stuff. Astonishing.

    I guess my nitpicks once again come down to the villains being unnamed, the enemy not being, in fact, a rogue state or a country but the very idea of advancing technology.…

    Fascinating of course. Never quite seduces like the original did, but occasionally does comes close to outdoing it. A mixed bag, but I can't really point out any singular sticking point. Maybe that's the problem here. Comparing the two when I really shouldn't, but I also can't help it.

    The Movies! As fantastic as I was led to believe. Donna Reed and James Stewart work so well together. The last scene drove me to tears. Knew this would be an all timer the moment they began staring at each other before they danced and subsequently fell into the pool along with everyone else....and kept dancing. Few spoken words can mean something more wonderful and critically important than that.
