Jason found The Predator (2018) to be the best sequel since The Scorpion King (2002).

Jason liked how it started out. Good acting and based on a fascinating true story.

Jason found the characters weren't fleshed out enough and halfway through the movie after the story is done setting itself up, it falls flat and becomes predictable and slightly stupid, more and more as it goes along.

Jason can't help but feel that there is much more to this story that could have been explored and would have made a much more interesting and exciting movie.

Jason was intrigued in the beginning and disappointed by the end, but he found the movie to be worth his time.

Jason was so bored. The first half hour could have been cut and explained by: "Picture an all American happy family.". Done! Jason saved you 30 minutes!

The establishing of the family is a complete waste of time cause it's utter shit and Jason have never seen a movie-family so perfect and completely unrelatable. Jason was hoping they got killed as fast as possible so Bruce Willis woke up from his coma and start killing people.

    It never happened. Bruce…

    Revenge

    ★★½

Jason thought this could have been a great little revenge thriller but the director lacks something important called "restraint".

Cut out most of the too obvious, in your face, symbolism/foreshadowing, cut down most of the action/reveal set pieces by half and you would have a lean, and very likely, thrilling movie. Jason loved the tension provided in some scenes but most lasts so long it becomes ridiculous. Overacting also becomes involuntary funny. The violence is gratuitous like the rest of the movie.

Some very good building of tension ruined by lack of restraint.
