Wow! Yorgos at his LanthiMOST. It’s not hard to see why Emma Stone got her Oscar nod for this fantastic performance. She’s come a long Way from Easy A. Even more remarkable is her win. I’m guessing she’s the only nominee to appear on screen with a ball gag.
Also easy to see why this swept the categories of hair and makeup, costume, and production design.
Lanthimos was nominated for director and PT was nominated for picture. Given…
Can't wait to see the version with Tyler Perry!! Kidding, of course.
Great to see Jeffrey Wright being deservedly recognized with an Oscar nomination along with his "brother" Sterling K Brown. Loved this send up of academia, awards culture, Hollywood, etc.

At the beginning of the film, Winifried, a shaggy 50-something, tells his very un-shaggy global capitalist daughter Ines that he’s hired a substitute daughter. By the end of the film, he doesn’t have to.
A little too long at 2:42. However, I enjoyed this quirky father-daughter dramedy. This is played out against the backdrop of the first-world (here it’s Germany) taking advantage of an impoverished former second world country (Romania).
