    ★★★★★

Joker is unrelenting, raw, & poetic.

The beauty of this film really derives from how director Todd “The God” Phillips doesn’t really ask the audience for understanding or empathy. For better or worse, we’re given an unfiltered look inside the soul of a man that’s warped enough to cast his shadow on Gotham’s unremitting darkness.
