Andrew Bemis’s review published on Letterboxd:
As much as I've always loved Magnolia, it really is a different movie after losing a parent. If you've been there, you know what I mean; if you still have it ahead of you, be prepared for weirdness. I used to say that this movie was self-indulgent, but in a way that I love. I don't actually think it's self-indulgent anymore; when the bottom falls out, the most mundane aspects of life can take on unexpectedly epic proportions. "Oh God, there are frogs falling from the sky." Exactly.
