Long-ass time since I last saw this one. Definitely better than I remembered - Rodriguez is in some of the finest form he's ever achieved as director. Part of me still feels the latter half lacks some of the pretty incredible directorial precision that makes the first stretch so striking, but it still absolutely works from front to back.
Pulp done right. Where did vampire flicks like this go, anyway? Need to check out Near Dark ASAP.
