Rian had one, lone, 35mm print struck for a special screening tonight - he even made some editing tweaks to replicate the slight excess left hanging for a more seamless reel changeover- and it was a complete fucking blast. In his intro, he asked if the audience would cheer every time the cigarette burn appeared, to honor the projectionist. Much of the crowd also clapped as Rian's old guard - including Noah Segan, of course - popped up in the end credits; it was the perfect audience to see this simply stellar crowdpleaser with.
