Okay, but doesn't touch Iron Man and isn't as good as The Incredible Hulk (which I thought was somewhat underrated) and even Thor (which wasn't that good but was fun).
Whiplash is barely in it, sitting in an airplane hanger for 3/4s of the movie, and controlling the action from a computer for most of the climax. Even if they wanted to focus on Stark's hero complex and fear of death more, they don't go deep enough into that story. What Iron Man 2 ends up as is a competent film with some fun parts, but mostly boring ad for The Avengers.
