    Isn't It Romantic

    ★★★

Consider Priyanka Chopra officially on my radar. And also consider Liam Hemsworth's weird voice on my radar as well. It's not great but then again it probably was never going to be. That being said, more studio romcoms! I'll do my best to support these if we don't have to settle for the lower-grade Netflix Flavor of the Week editions.

I'd venture to say this is actually pretty high up there in Burton's filmography for me. Has a very defined look that doesn't feel too over-the-top Burton-y, and the cinematography from Lubezki is outright gorgeous. Might be the last time I genuinely enjoyed watching Depp before PotC too.

Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly

    ★★½

If this was just footage from his concerts I might've found it more interesting: the production is insane and so is the energy. Otherwise I didn't really vibe with this as much I thought. Travis Scott gets so high off his own success that when he gets reality-checked for not winning a Grammy(!) it's like some sort of revelatory moment where we're supposed to empathize with him. Mmm, nah.

    The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

    ★★★★

It has the standard Guy Ritchie flair, but I really got a kick out the two leads. Cavill's exaggerated American accent brings a certain charm to his character, as does Hammer's Russian accent. The two work well together on-screen which helps since the movie tends to go for style over substance. The scene with Alicia Vikander dancing in the background is pretty cute too.
