Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ★★★★

Demon slayer is known for its fluid animation and detailed sound design. The film takes this up a whole notch, you can feel each cut and hear every sound effect from the sparks on a blade to the dirt shifting beneath sandals.

The plot however, is a little lackluster. It doesn't do much to drive the overall storyline. With that said, it's not completely underwhelming. There's slivers of character development through the thick layer of mediocrity.

What really put this flick on the pedestal of japanese anime movies is the final arc of the movie. It was by far the most exhilarating time I've had in a cinema(granted we've not had much room for public access since the virus).

It would a valid assumption to say most of the movie's budget ended up in the final segment. Every stroke was delivered in crisp fluid motion, every auditory detail was amplified by the surround sound within the theater. I was absolutely floored.

Go see it.
