This is THE movie, man. Every once in a while you watch a movie that just blows your expectations off the roof and this is one for me. A fantastic story about the politics of greed and the irony of con man who can’t get out of the game when everyone with the authority to improve his situation can’t help but con him. Don’t know if it’s the certified best but I certainly think Jane Fonda gives the best leading actress performance of the New Hollywood era in this incredibly dynamic and gritty detective thriller from Pakula that most recently served as a major influence to THE BATMAN. The paranoia factor isn’t on 10 as much as The Parallex View but it’s just as cynical and a lot more carnal than the rest of Pakula’s awesome catalogue. All the characters have an interesting dynamic when it comes to the need to control and the inevitable impossibility of keeping that control and ultimately becoming entrapped in chaos.

There’s a lot to like here and the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to their original roles as Obi and Anakin leads to a little less fruition than it should but still KENOBI remains one of the more focused Disney+ series and certainly one of the stronger of Mickey Mouse entries to the Star Wars franchise. The series is very watchable and provides about 2-3 “mildly cool” things that happen per episode.

However, I worry that Disney really doesn’t…
