    The Edge of Seventeen

You know, ever since we were little, I would get this feeling like... like I'm floating outside of my body, looking down at myself. And I hate what I see, how I'm acting, the way I sound. And I don't know how to change it. And I'm so scared that the feeling is never gonna go away.

Yes, I think this is as good as La La Land (not better, just as good). It's a rather simple movie, there's…

Look, Nancy gets hit one time and the whole world shits. For me it was an all-the-time occurrence.

It may not be completely perfect, but a lot of it is. The casting, especially for the main three, is one of those things. Alison Janney and Margot Robbie put on two of my all time favorite performances here. They capture these flawed people in such a fantastic way, especially Janney. Sebastian Stan was fantastic too, he made a fantastic protagonist…

I see you're drinking 1%. Is that 'cause you think you're fat? 'Cause you're not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.

I don't really have words for what I just experienced. Among the likes of Barb and Star and The Swiss Army Man, there's so much bizarre stuff here to put into words what I thought. It was certainly good, but I couldn't tell you how high it would rank for me, at least not off one watch. It was... it was Napoleon Dynamite.

The first time I visited Death Row, I wasn't expecting to meet someone the same age as me, from a neighborhood just like ours.

A slow paced drama that despite taking place in the late 80's, remains extremely relevant today. It's so difficult to watch in many places, but even then I couldn't look away. This is one of the movies that shows us how much we've changed over the past few decades, but also how little we've changed.…

A dream isn’t some sparkley diamond we get. Sometimes it’s rough.

From start to finish, In the Heights is a joy to watch with amazing music/musical numbers and fantastic acting between and during them. This movie is never boring. The music is extremely often, but even when it's not there it kept my attention with interesting stories and fantastic dialogue throughout.
In every single scene, the characters are fantastically developed and memorable.
The music is mostly energetic, and even when it isn't, the cinematography, singing, and choreography are gorgeous and makes practically every song an 11/10.

  • Cruella

    I'm just getting started, darling.

Why on earth is this getting the 100 rating? Well it's honestly refreshing after the 2019 Lion King, the 2017 Beauty and the Beast, and many others to see Disney make a movie that is smart, stylish, and above all else original. Cruella was an absolute joy to watch, with a kick-ass soundtrack, a fantastic performance from Emma Stone, and Craig Gillespie's superb directing style coming straight out of I, Tonya. The humor isn't…
