    Racing to log this before I see it again tonight but I was lucky enough to get into a guild screening a couple weeks ago. What PTA is able to do with two non-professional actors when most of his career has been spent with people at the very top of the heap/game, is kind of incredible and I can't imagine that many other directors would be able to pull this off.

    One of those movies that delivers on the hype! Denis Lavant is incredible both throughout and for the last scenes into the dance number before the credits. I wish more filmmakers working today had the confidence and patience to capture something like the throbbing bicep and actually use it.
    I took a Melville class in college but as I remember we only read a small section of Billy Budd because it was unfinished. I should pick it up!
