Andy McMillan’s review published on Letterboxd :
Goddamn this could have been so good. There's plenty of room to play in the internalized monster externalized as a kaiju metaphor—but it was just a mess.
Tepid in delivering it's lessons in toxic masculinity—Jason Sudeikis' character was all over the place. It was really Dan Stevens who deserved to be flung over the horizon for his two dimensional performance as the foppish ex-boyfriend.
Felt like it really held back a lot too. Could have redeemed itself considerably by being more over the top.
Much more fun as a trailer. Oh well.
