What I like about Dragged Across Concrete is its slow pace. The film takes its time in building character and history. Thanks to talented actors and confident directing, the film never gets boring and the finale keeps my interest in how this will end.
S Craig Zahler has a penchant for blood and body parts and here it feels like it becomes an unnecessary element, while in his previous production the violence plays a function. Here it gets most bloody for the sake of it.
A well-made production from 2018 that brings the mind back to the 70's film industry.
