The most wholesome movie watching experience I've had in a long time. I just loved this one.

Pain and Glory 2019
Almodóvar has been a hit or miss director for me, but it seems like his work is slowly growing on me more. This might be my favorite film of his (out of the ones I have seen, of course).
-
All the Devil's Men 2018
Went in with low expectations but this turned out to be a pretty good espionage/action film. Not anything too special but quite enjoyable.

Ben Platt: Live from Radio City Music Hall 2020
I have never heard of Ben Platt before but decided to give this a shot after noticing the insanely high rating here on Letterboxd.
Well... Platt is an entertaining performer and a decent enough singer but in all honesty, I did not like the music that much. This was not really my thing but I don't mind having watched it once.

Unknown Origins 2020
A pretty fun blend of serial killer hunt and nerdy comedy. Doesn't work all the time but overall this felt quite fresh.
-
Journey's End 2017
An atmospheric war film that portrays the fear and tension in the trenches quite well. Sam Claflin gives an excellent performance.

Far from Men 2014
Firstly, the score is lovely, which is hardly surprising as it is composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, the duo behind the music of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, my favorite film score of all time.
Secondly, the acting is very good. Not surprising either, since it's Viggo Mortensen and Reda Kateb.
The film is pretty slow and relatively uneventful, though. Lacks a little something to make it truly great.

Incredibles 2 2018
This is an entertaining movie and I like the visual aesthetic a lot, but it does not have the emotional punch like many other Pixar movies do. It's good but I wouldn't necessarily watch it again.
-
Cinderella 2015
It is mildly amusing that I've now seen all of the Disney live action remakes even though I haven't been all that keen to watch any of them. However, I admit this was one of the better ones.

Avengers: Endgame 2019
I've been putting off this rewatch mostly because of the extensive length of the film but today I decided to take the time to revisit it.
I can't really say much else about 'Endgame' than it is an impressive achievement on pretty much every level, but especially the storytelling deserves praise considering all the different storylines and characters it deals with. The film is surprisingly emotional, too. Truly an epic finale to the Infinity Saga.
