    Won't You Be My Neighbor?

Okay fine......maybe not ALL men are awful.

  • Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

    Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

The story thread when you had to explain to him you were literally watching him on Netflix & then in the therapists office when it turned into a set......FUCK

  • Bumblebee

    Bumblebee

A film in the TRANSFORMERS franchise that actually has some STYLISTIC VALUE????? It really is a Christmas miracle.

  • Mary Poppins Returns

    Mary Poppins Returns

I love Meryl Streep but the scene & musical number with her is truly one of the most bizarre and terrible things I have ever seen. The rest of the film is cute though.

I take what movies I watch on Christmas Day very seriously and every year chose them with great care.
My Christmas morning movie this year was Sing Street (you can read about why that movie means so much to me and why I watched it on Christmas morning here).
And this year, to end Christmas, I chose this one, an all time favourite. Me and my sister cuddled up on the couch and ate my favourite chocolate cereal and watched…

On Christmas morning yesterday after opening all of our presents and while the turkey was in the oven, my family, the 5 of us, sat down together to watch Sing Street as a our Christmas Day movie. A movie we adore more than any of us know how to express.
While I know that many people all over the world love this movie, I will never ever be able to explain what this movie means as an Irish person and…

  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Always preferred this one to the first one growing up and while I can now see how the first one is far better written, I still stand by the fact that this one is more fun and so so enjoyable!

  • Love Actually

    Love Actually

The worst part about growing up and becoming socially aware is realising that almost every male in Love Actually is to some extent a terrible, manipulative person :/
I still kinda love it though. Ultimate guilty pleasure.
Rowan Atkinson gift wrapping the necklace, Hugh Grant dancing around 10 Downing Street to Jump (For My Love), tiny baby Thomas Sangster playing drums and watching Titanic with Liam Neeson, the entire Martin Freeman storyline and Keira Knightly wearing a hideous comically oversized postman hat is all PEAK CINEMA !!

  • Lizzie

    Lizzie

This had so much potential because the story (one of my favourite true crime stories) is so fascinating and has so much conspiracy and juiciness surrounding it. It also happened long enough ago that you don’t have to worry about being insensitive with it and really could take it in any direction. Unfortunately I feel like that great true story was wasted on this bland,  cookie-cutter period piece!! Ughhhhhh !!

  • Roma

    Roma

Um so it’s been like 2 days since I’ve seen it and I still haven’t been able to even begin to mentally unpack this.

  • Aquaman

    Aquaman

There was a lot of cinematic crimes committed by this movie, for example the fact that the screenwriters clearly don’t know how to end a scene so literally every scene of dialogue in the movie ends with a surprise explosion mid-sentence (like for real this happens about 6 times) however forget all that, I will never ever get over the fact that this film had the actual fucking AUDACITY as the characters are in the Sahara desert to play a PITBULL song that covers AFRICA BY TOTO. KILL IT WITH FIRE.
