I find myself no less confounded yet even more mesmerized on this second viewing. Mark my words, this is going to be one of those canonical films like Pulp Fiction or 2001 that spawn endless interpretations and where half the fun lies in theorizing about its countless ambiguities. Paul Thomas Anderson is unqestionably a--pardon the pun--master of his craft, and this may be his richest, most intellectually complex work to date.
