So good. Perfect Blue is a wonderfully animated film with such a brutal, yet honest portrayal of both celebrity and stan culture. This one’s definitely timeless. It blends reality and the main character’s paranoia so well that you begin to feel exactly like her. Not only is the animation so good, but pairing it with that score and sound design solidifies this as a perfect movie to me.

Candyman 1992
A movie about the dangers of not minding your own business. Candyman is scary as hell, and the score just makes it that much scarier. The jumpscares are very effective, and Tony Todd’s performance as Candyman is electrifying. His voice is like honey. Virginia Madsen does excellently on screen as well, especially towards the end where she becomes Candyman herself. The movie serves as an excellent way to examine the social injustices in the world, whether it be the police, gentrification, racism, or even sexism. It holds up extremely well.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 2022
This score definitely wouldn’t be as high if Sam Raimi hadn’t directed this. The way he works the camera is so goddamn amazing. The fight choreography was great as well. Much more dark and creepier than most Marvel movies. The only huge complaint I had with this movie was the shit script.
