It was so nice to watch a movie that had a beginning, middle, and end. With dynamic characters that change and learn a lesson by the end of the movie. A movie that has a message and a moral to the story. It’s funny, sad, uplifting, heartwarming, and just everything you want from a movie instead of the narcissistic snarky nightmarish view point of the world that other movies have been cramming down our throats recently.
It’s got some fun parts and it’s sometimes funny but it cares way to much about hitting you over the head with political correctness of 2023 clashing with how people did things in the 1980s, and a lot of those jokes didn’t land. Also this is some of the worst filmmaking I’ve seen in a real film. It truly looked like a Disney Channel film with cheap cameras, bad lighting, bad special effects, and just other very cheap and bad filmmaking I’ve ever seen. Also the dialogue is pretty bad and way too on the nose.
Endless Trash!!!!! One of the most excruciating film going experiences I’ve ever been a part of in my entire life. Within the first 10 minutes of this 2 and a half hour film I crushed my popcorn box in utter disgust at the fact that I picked a middle seat and was sandwiched between grown man child nerds and had no easy escape route from the theater because I wanted to walk out of this nightmare of a film right…
I’ll start with the positive. I’m extremely happy that an original story was made by a major studio. And the fact that it has beautiful cinematography, sets, special effects, and action all for an $86 million dollar budget is amazing. All of that reminded me of The Edge of Tomorrow and how you can still make a great looking sci-fi film for cheap. But now the negative. Someone needed to read the script and realize it’s just not very good.…
