The Holdovers 2023
It was so nice to watch a movie that had a beginning, middle, and end. With dynamic characters that change and learn a lesson by the end of the movie. A movie that has a message and a moral to the story. It’s funny, sad, uplifting, heartwarming, and just everything you want from a movie instead of the narcissistic snarky nightmarish view point of the world that other movies have been cramming down our throats recently.

Totally Killer 2023
It’s got some fun parts and it’s sometimes funny but it cares way to much about hitting you over the head with political correctness of 2023 clashing with how people did things in the 1980s, and a lot of those jokes didn’t land. Also this is some of the worst filmmaking I’ve seen in a real film. It truly looked like a Disney Channel film with cheap cameras, bad lighting, bad special effects, and just other very cheap and bad filmmaking I’ve ever seen. Also the dialogue is pretty bad and way too on the nose.

The Creator 2023
I’ll start with the positive. I’m extremely happy that an original story was made by a major studio. And the fact that it has beautiful cinematography, sets, special effects, and action all for an $86 million dollar budget is amazing. All of that reminded me of The Edge of Tomorrow and how you can still make a great looking sci-fi film for cheap. But now the negative.
