Red Beard 1965
This being Mifune’s last go with Kurosawa is very fitting. The worldliness of this character and the longevity of Mifune’s career with Kurosawa makes for a realistic performance. I also really love the very patient performance Mifune gives, it’s unlike his others under Kurosawa’s direction. A proper end to a great run.
