Antonomasia’s review published on Letterboxd:
Spaceships and Strauss: superb.
Then there's another 2 hours of runtime to account for. Things pick up a bit when the Red Power Ranger has to do something about HAL, but then slide into boredom again. A pure, vacuum-like boredom I hardly ever experience, not exasperation with trite tropes. In space, no one can hear you moan.
Citizen Kane seemed to be most frequently cited as The All Time Greatest Movie in the 90's; these days it's more often 2001 I see heading such lists. Both films I found almost as remarkable for being emotionally unengaging as for their pioneering cinematography.
