Film #6/30 for April Scavenger Hunt #49!

This will be more an analysis than a typical review because I'll be talking a lot about the characters, their behaviour, their reactions and motivations, and mainly relationship between two main characters so there will be spoilers. Be aware.

    Watched director's cut.
Firstly, this had to be mentioned, this is not biographical film that represents 100% true events. This is a mostly fictionalized version of events with the same people in them.

I don't want to talk about plot here, but all I can say is; don't ecxpect same film as Get Out and stay away from any trailers (if you didn't already watched them) or any reviews and analysis.
If you go into the film this way I guarantee you that you will be amazed, if not amazed atleast fully enetertained. Just be open-minded about it and enjoy insane ride that this film offers.
Please go support this film because original…

Film #12/30 for April Scavenger Hunt #49!

Maybe in some other reality, there is a film in which character of the writer is completely cut out from the film, and in that reality, I think this film is amazing. Judging by what we have, it's a tonally uneven, poorly paced film. Also, I think this film would benefit a lot if it was told completely linearly. You start with her before she gets in the concentration camps. You show her…

I barely can remember what was happening in this film, it's very forgettable.
It seemed like this film didn't know what it wanted to be. If it was trying to be comedy, it failed. If it was trying to be thrilling, it failed.
Tone of this film was all over the place. In the one hand, you have "tense" moment with serious music in the background, and then, from nothing, David Harbour had to shout some badly timed comedic lines.…

Film #11/30 for April Scavenger Hunt #49!

This film looks astonishing. From the mesmerizing cinematography to the beautiful  natural lightning. Kubrick didn’t want to use studio lights, so he used natural lightning for the whole film. For example, in the scenes where is night time he used only candles as a source of the light. In order to do so, he used Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f/0.7 lenses. There where only 10 of those in the world, Kubrick had 3…

Film #8/30 for April Scavenger Hunt #49!

So, I watched this film few years ago and I hated it back then. I thought it was boring and beacuse of that I didn't like it. I don't know if my taste in films changed or what, but watching it today, I loved it. I don't know how I didn't appreciated those visuals. I mean, this film looks like it came out today and not in 1968. It's facinating what Stanley Kubrick…
