    Groundhog Day

What can I say about Groundhog Day that hasn’t already been said?  My favorite comedy and I make sure to rewatch it often. I think the story alone is inspiring and everyone can take something from it. Do good, help others, only through this can you truly find yourself and achieve your dreams. I hope all watch this film. Over and over again, haha!

    Shot Caller

I won’t lie: I was actually really impressed by this film. Shot Caller had a pretty good plot, that I found to be pretty damn honest. I can say that the honesty of the film is what stood out to me; it really had me thinking about just how much can go wrong in life, sometimes. With what goes wrong, though, is how one deals with and takes it as it comes.
The protagonist had some bad luck, but he took…

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum

I feel sort of at a loss with John Wick 3. I don’t have anything really much to say about it… I feel like I am just too old for straight up action films anymore. I found that this chapter really lacked any sort of character development for John, he basically was on the run for most of the film. Any sort of interesting characters he meets along the way either are never seen again after 5 minutes or just straight…

    Mr. Baseball

I actually never heard of Mr. Baseball before I watched it a few days ago. I can say that it really charmed me and left a good impression after seeing it. I really enjoyed how they filmed in Japan during the 90’s which really brought me back. Something I did not expect was it reminded me of Lost in Translation, which is one of my favorite films of all time. I feel like LiT took some inspiration from Mr. Baseball. This actually turned out to be one of my favorite baseball films. I recommend checking it out!

  • Whiplash

It’s funny because I am not musically inclined in the slightest, but Whiplash just spoke to me in a way that I cannot fully understand. I think the main character is somewhat relatable in the sense that he is on a really specific mission, but there are also things on the side that he deeply wants. Things such as a girlfriend, his family’s acceptance, and more.

Even so, he makes sacrifices and achieves what he is truly working toward, ultimately…

    There Will Be Blood

TWBB is a film that comes along rarely in life. I find it hits close to home for me, as I have lived a life similarly to the main character Daniel Plainview. I believe evil and greed is something we all struggle with and this film portrays what comes of that path. To this day, it is my favorite film I have seen and I highly recommend it to everyone I meet. Albeit, I am unsure many can relate to the film as I can, but I still think it is one of the best films ever made.
