    Won't You Be My Neighbor?

    ★★★★★

Nearly pitch perfect documentary that not only goes behind the scenes of the acclaimed kid's TV series, but also into the mindset of Fred Rogers himself, someone who was planning on being a priest until he saw a higher calling educating kids on public TV.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wonder who can help take his place because we need someone like him NOW.

We live in a strange world.

When Jeffrey (Kyle McLachlan) finds a severed ear on the ground, he reports it to a police detective/neighbor. His daughter (Laura Dern) relays to Jeffrey things she's overheard on the phone and he decides to investigate which brings him into contact with nightclub singer Dorothy (Isabelle Rosselini), Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) and other characters of varying reputes.

The film was well acted, particularly by Hopper who breathes life into any scene he's a part…

Sometimes, it does work due to the sheer skill that Gyllenhaal puts into the character who finds himself chasing crime scenes as a freelance cameraman.

    Still, there's pleasures…

It's one of those classic films that is just about perfect, with great acting, visuals, story, etc. I'm going to have to see this on the big screen sometime before I die.
