(3) Include at least five films from a single director, or at least three films each from two different directors. - Check. Three films each from James Whale and Brian De Palma.
(4) Include films from at least five different decades. - Check. 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s.
(5) Include at least five films made from before 1970. - Check. Six of them, actually (The Phantom Carriage, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Bride of Frankenstein, Secret Beyond the Door, and The Housemaid).
(6) Include at least five slashers. - Check. Between A Bay of Blood, Halloween II, Terror Train, and multiple entries in the Jason Voorhees saga, I am practically drowning in grue.
(7) Include at least five monster movies. - Check. Depends on how you define "monster," I suppose, but between Alien3, two Frankenstein films, Cat People, and a zombie film, I think I should be fine.
(8) Include at least one Tobe Hooper film. - Depends on what you think of Poltergeist's provenance....
(9) Review them all. - Nope. Not happening. I suspect I'll not be the only one...right, Cine...? ;) (Note: I said the same thing for last year's Hoop-Tober and ended up being terribly mistaken about that, but this year I feel pretty confident.)
While there's no way I will get through 31 films/31 reviews, there's also no such thing as a bad time to watch a horror movie, so I will gladly take part in Cinemonster's festivities to the extent I'm able! After all, who doesn't love overdosing on horror films? Cheers for Hoop-Tober v.2! (And thanks to Cinemonster for putting together such a great idea once more!)
