My contribution to Cinemonster's Hoop-Tober horror marathon list.
Cinemonster's rules:
(1) There must be 31 horror films. - Done, and then some. (I've got more than 31, but this list is subject change based on...my whim, I guess?)
(2) You must have at least one film from 5 different decades. - Sure. Every decade from the 1960s to the 2010s is represented.
(3) You must have at least (i) 5 films from one director or (ii) 3 films each from 2 directors. - Yup. Roman Polanski (Repulsion, The Fearless Vampire Killers, and The Tenant) and, in honor of the list title, Tobe Hooper (Eaten Alive, The Funhouse, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).

(4) You must have films from at least 4 countries. - Check. Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, UK, USA.
(5) You must review them all. - Nope. Not happening. (I suspect I'll not be the only one...right, Cine...? ;) ) [Editor's note: So, I was wrong about this one. Thanks, Cine, for giving me such great inspiration! And thanks to everyone who has read my reviews—I truly appreciate it more than I can say!]
I've excluded a lot of my favorite horror films, because (1) I've already reviewed several of those (Psycho, The Birds, Alien, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Audition, Rosemary's Baby, The Descent, The Exorcist, Funny Games, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Mulholland Dr.), and I wanted to avoid ones I'd already written about (with one exception), and (2) I wanted to force myself to watch some different films from what I might otherwise have picked. Hopefully I've got a fun list going!
Honestly, as much as I would like to (and I very much would like to), there is no way I will get through 31 films/31 reviews, so I freely admit that upfront. But I'll get through what I can of the list, and I know whatever portion I get through will be a great time, because who doesn't love overdosing on horror films? Cheers for Hoop-Tober! (And thanks to Cinemonster for putting together such a great idea!)
