An excellent ending to what may be the greatest film trilogy.
Amazing performances by the cast. Great and exciting new set pieces.
Every line from the Emperor is iconic.
Ignite the Green!
There's no greater sequel in cinema.
Every character has excellent, shining moments. Its beautifully paced. Lando fits right in with characters from the previous film. Yoda is one of my all time favorite characters of the screen. This Mark's his most magical performance. There's just so much to love in this film.
This is the most unpredictable Star Wars film by far.
It'll have you asking questions like:
Why is the woman in this Wookiee's adult film suddenly singing?
How dope is this cartoon this kid is watching? How weird that his dad is featured in this cartoon?
Why aren't there more infomercials in Star Wars?
Why doesn't Leia sing in more Star Wars?
This is bizarre and reminds you that the timeless original film totally came out in the 70s.
The performances were amazing in this film. Both stars are acting at the top of their game.
But this felt like a very specific (American, rich) divorce story told specifically through a male gaze (Driver's failures are just brushed under the rug).
I would have loved for more sympathy shown for ScarJo's character.
A solid film that left me wanting more.
*Edit: I've not stopped thinking about this since watching it. I see that as a sign of how great it really is. I'm raising it by a star
