I published books about mysteries, but my real passion is subscribing to too many podcasts.
The biggest problem is that the experiment kinda failed. They picked the wrong subjects so most of the movie is a wash. I wish there was a better examination on what is fame. The film quickly says it's okay for actors to be famous because they're doing a craft, but influencers are empty. But then they show how much influencers have to work at being influencers. It's not like acting in a blockbuster is any more worthy of attention from…
First of all, hysterically bad poster on the left. That's nothing like what this film is. This film is a really damning anti-war film that was made in Germany not too long after World War II. It never talks about why the war is happening or any of the politics actually. It's just like so many early American films where the good ole boys back home are ready to serve their country. Except once it starts, it's horrifying. The last 15 minutes of this are so upsetting thanks to the performances of the children and the utterly chilling camerawork.
