Minari is about that, but it’s also about the foundation of a family…
I read about the Cecil hotel a while ago, always thought it’d make a good doc. This one’s okay, it tells the story of the hotel well enough despite the YouTube detectives coming in.
What happened in that elevator with that girl though? A very jarring mystery.

Subtle, realistic, and emotionally moving; the film subverts expectations in the best way possible and I believe this plays to it’s strengths. Great performances and stunning camera work about a man on the brink of destruction. Also locally shot in Orem, Utah.

Audio needs work and the wall to wall music could have been entirely recut. Ending also could have been executed better, the blocking is odd.
But alas, Train of Thoughts is my second film I directed and I am proud of it. Wait til I have a real budget!!
