Strangely better than I expected. Still awful, but not quite as awful as I originally thought.

Don’t get me started on the post credits bullshit

  • The Outfit

I enjoy a single location film that can hold your attention purely on the strength of the script, it’s just a shame that the writers shoehorned in too many twists, sometimes in rapid succession. A good film that had potential to be great.

Exactly what you would expect, nothing more, nothing less.

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Delightful and fun. I loved the Raiminess of the film. Nice to see Marvel expanding it’s genres and still keeping things fresh after so many films and shows.

I expect to see America will be key in facing Kang!

  • Swan Song

    Swan Song

    ★★★★

The premise suggests a sci-fi thriller, (one that I would still like to see mind you!) but we get an emotional tear jerker, both sad and wholesome. Ali and Harris are perfect for this and their chemistry is so natural, it was easy to place myself into the shoes of the protagonist, imagining what I would do if I were to face the same scenario.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Some nice references to the game but otherwise 🧀y af. Tried way too hard to be funny

  • Moon Knight

I’m so glad that they got around to explaining Oscar Isaac’s shitty Cockney accent. I was thinking there’s no way someone didn’t tell him how bad it was.

  • Metal Lords

Perhaps my expectations were unfairly high since I saw Tom Morello was an EP.

  • Ambulance

Very clear that the story is driven by the stunts Bay wanted to shoot. I can’t deny that they were impressive stunts, but it also had the Bay classics: Embarrassing dialogue, references to his own films, Police worship, even a dog cameo.
Basically like watching Bay furiously masturbate in front of a mirror.

    That opening shot! 😘👌
Love the foreshadowing. And what a perfect concluding line.

I feel shame that I watched all two hours of this.
I did enjoy the James McAvoy cameo though.

  • Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

    ★★★

Had potential, but many threads fizzled out to lacklustre conclusions.

The magic battles were pretty cinematic though!
