A cinema for the soul, Lee Chang-Dong's Oasis (2002) is an epic love story about the most beautiful of human anomalies, engaged in a thought-provoking escapism of two disabled personae non gratae trampled by the negligent society.
Second Park Chan-wook feature that I've watched and I'm just starting to praise him more. Chan-wook's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is an excellent work that makes me want to know him even more and sooner. This South Korean thriller follows Ryu and his battle to end the pathetic life of him that as the battle goes, he encounters a cobweb of tragic solutions named revenge that makes his life even more fucked.
