Houston Coley’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's funny, because when you just skim through a few scenes of Guardians Vol. 2 or watch something out of context, it genuinely doesn't seem all that meaningful or impactful. But when you watch the film as you're intended to - which is to say, in order - you find that it's a completely different and more emotionally engaging experience. I guess the same could be said of most movies, but I find myself tearing up at the end no matter how many times I see it.
Anyway, the movie is still great. It's emotionally resonant and actually has some THEMES, the visuals are cinematic and breathtaking, and the entire story is just so character-driven. It's fantastic. Oh, and I'm just gonna say it: Rocket Raccoon is the most interesting character.
