Ok this was sooo good and one of my favorites now! I didnβt see the twists coming or the ending and everybody was perfect in their roles, especially Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, and Ben Kingsley. Maybe my rating will go down after future viewings since the twists and thrills wonβt be as fresh and it relies on those a lot imo but I loved it after this first watch. What Scorsese film should I watch and review next?
Surely getting taken to a porn theater for a first date is a red flag, right? π© Seriously tho this movie is pretty amazing. I have bad FOMO and movies about loneliness like this donβt help with that lol π
How can one man be so hot and so scary at the same time lol. This was so good even though itβs realistic portrayal of domestic abuse makes it hard to watch at times. Iβm loving the combo of Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro so far!
I had to rewind a few times because the plot would get too convoluted with all the double crossing but this definitely lived up to my expectations! Raging Bull is next!
This is the first and only Scorsese movie I ever watched and itβs just as good as it was back then. Just like Killers of the Flower Moon, itβs a 3 hour plus long movie that doesnβt feel long at all and just like Killers, DiCaprio gives arguably his career best performance. I canβt decide which performance I prefer but this movie is so energetic and fun and itβs insane that itβs based on a true story
This made me want to move to Italy (with Robert McCall's protection of course). I haven't seen the first two but he equalized hard as hell here
