    The Tragedy of Macbeth

Well I finally got to watch my most anticipated film of 2021, an adaptation of my favourite play, starring some of the greatest actors currently working.

    And bruh.

    I could not be happier.

I was grinning ear to ear for like 90% of this movie, seeing these characters be brought to life in such a unique way fills my cold, little heart with boundless joy.

Washington absolutely dominates every second of this, I'm not comparing the two, but the last…

    What a Life

To the shouting and screaming on the train in the morning
To the pretentious wine pairing in the fanciest of restaurants

To the daytime gatherings out on the fields
To the euphoric dancing at the end of exams

To the quiet sobbing over what could've been
To the melancholic sipping to ease the conversation

To secret pouring when no-one sees you
To the commemorative pint after a loss

    To love
    To despair

    To anxiety
    To singing

    To Vinterberg
    To Mads

Maybe it was the low expectations, or just the fact that I was expecting another Hotel Artemis, but fuck I actually had a lot of fun with this. I enjoyed the totally insane plot, all of the characters and performances really worked for me, I appreciated all the cameos, and that last act. Fuck me it was absolute insanity and I was here for it. I feel like this movie is going to thrive on Netflix in a year or two, and when that time comes around I'll definitely be up for revisiting it.

Fuck it, this is my Joker.

Wholly unexpected and tense as a horror, Spencer is the perfect combination of everything I love about standard cinema and the weird shit I can never recommend to my friends.

Every single moment from the unnerving opening shot is the ultimate depiction of anxiety and feeling uncomfortable in your life. I actually let out a long breath when this film ended, and I didn't even know I was holding it. This is perfectly represented…
