A true gem. This is an absolutely near-perfect survival horror film which succeeds not by breaking new ground in a traditionally threadbare subgenre, but by anchoring it completely with characters that feel incredibly real and grounded. This means when the violence starts to happen, it becomes an utter white knuckle thrill-ride. If only the film didn't suffer by committing one truly unforgiveable omission in the last 5 minutes, I wouldn't have a single complaint about this film.
